Wymondham Ladies face the difficult challenge of facing South East Combination and current cup holders Norwich City Ladies in the second round of the County Cup this Sunday.
The game will be played at Kings Head Meadow, Wymondham with a kick-off time of 1.45pm (with the club and bar open from 12.15pm) and with a place in the quarter-finals up for grabs, you can bet both teams will do all they can do to get through, so it is all set for a very exciting game.
Wymondham are progressed to the second round of the cup with a 2-0 win against UEA with goals from Gemma Hamilton and Vicky Hudson while Norwich have been given a bye into the second round.
Manager Alex Guy said: “This is why cup competitions are so exciting; you get teams such as Norwich who are a very professional and who play against the likes of Ipswich, Tottenham and Luton week in, week out placed against the smaller teams such as Wymondham which doesn’t happen very often.
“It will be a great experience for both myself, my assistant Gemma Hamilton and my players and we are all thoroughly looking forward to the game on Sunday and i hope that the town will come and support the girls on Sunday.”
