From idyllic coastal views to a restored mill, here are some of the best pub gardens to visit in Norfolk.
1. The White Horse, Brancaster Staithe
This award-winning 15-bed country inn was named one of the UK's top 50 gastropubs in the coveted Estrella Damm list for 2023.
Customers flock from far and wide to try its locally sourced seafood dishes and the garden overlooks Brancaster Bay tidal marsh and beyond to Scolt Head Island.
2. Sculthorpe Mill, Sculthorpe
Sculthorpe Mill is run by sisters Siobhan and Caitriona Peyton, who reopened the pub in July 2021 after a huge refurbishment and it has since won a whole host of awards.
The pub is based inside a restored 18th-century watermill, with a spacious beer garden out back and views of the River Wensum and draping willow trees out the front.
3. The Kings Head, Letheringsett
On the outskirts of Holt in the peaceful village of Letheringsett, The Kings Head is an ideal spot for outdoor dining with a spacious beer garden and plenty of picnic benches.
Enjoy a pint or glass of wine with a dish from the seasonal menu and The Garden Shack is open on sunny days serving light bites and loaded sandwiches.

4. The Acle Bridge Inn, Acle
This family and dog-friendly pub is the perfect pitstop while visiting the Norfolk Broads, with ample moorings for customers coming by boat.
It serves a menu of pub classics, such as fish and chips and lasagne, and it offers some of the best waterside views in the county.
5. The Fur and Feather, Woodbastwick
The Fur and Feather, which recently underwent a renovation, is Woodforde's Brewery's taproom and shop, boasting a huge beer garden in a countryside setting.
As well as offering top-notch beers, you can tuck into dishes that utilise local produce and pair perfectly with the drinks.

6. The Eagle, Norwich
Located just a stone's throw from the city centre in Newmarket Road, The Eagle boasts one of the biggest pub gardens in Norwich.
As well as being a great spot for al fresco dining during the spring and summer months, you can also book barbecue parties for 20 to 120 people.
7. The Green Dragon, Wymondham
This 14th-century tavern was taken on earlier this year by husband-and-wife duo Victoria and Grahame Macdonald.
There is a food and Sunday roast menu, with all produce sourced from local farms and suppliers, and the garden has been given a spruce up.
