The new school year is now in full swing - but when is the next break?

Here are the term dates for Norfolk for the 2023/2024 academic year according to Norfolk County Council.

Autumn term

The autumn term started on September 6 and will run until Wednesday, December 20. 

Students get their next break during the October half-term holiday between Monday, October 23 and Friday, October 27.

Spring term

Students will return after the Christmas break on Thursday, January 4, 2024.

The spring term will last until Wednesday, March 27, with the half-term holiday falling between Monday, February 19 and Friday, February 23.

The Easter holiday will last from Thursday, March 28 until Friday, April 12.

Summer term

The summer term will begin on Monday, April 15, until pupils break up for summer on Friday, July 19.

It is worth noting that Monday, May 6, is a bank holiday and schools will be closed

The half-term holiday will fall between Monday, May 27 and Friday, May 31.

Exceptions

Some schools' dates may slightly vary so parents are encouraged to check.

The County Council suggests that schools hold staff training days on January 3, March 28 and July 22 but this guidance might not be followed in every school.
