The King's birthday flyover rehearsal has been spotted over Norfolk with fighter jets and cargo planes flooding the skies.

Modern stealth fighters including eight RAF Typhoons travelled over the region on Monday during a rehearsal for the event on June 15.

One woman in Harleston was left shocked after seeing the display flying low over her house.

"The two fighters were flying either side of what looked like a passenger plane, but I couldn't see any markings."

The rehearsal included RAF Voyager, an air-to-air refuelling tanker that resembles a passenger plane, as well as the Globemaster (C-17), a long-range heavy-lift transport aircraft.

The large formation was spotted over the county as the air convoy made its way to the North Sea from RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire.

Attleborough, Watton, Swaffham and King's Lynn were also under the planned route.
