Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis has issued a warning about a scam which involves an endorsement using a photo of him.

The sponsored post which appears on social media channels is from "Loyola University Chicago Quinlan School of Business". 

The post is captioned: "Incredibly, only 3.72% of Britons have used it! No previous experience is required.

"MartIn is calls on everyone to seize this opportunity as soon as possible!"

There is a photo of Lewis outlining the profit you could make from this "investment". 

It says: "An investment of £250 brings over £27,720 monthly." 

One Twitter follower brought the scam to Lewis' attention saying in a post: "Hi ⁦@MartinSLewis you endorsing this? I have come across a few adverts very similar to this with you name plastered all over it. ⁦@MSE_Deals @MoneySavingExp #martinlewis."

Lewis said it wasn't him, it was a scam and warned people to avoid any similar posts.

Responding on Twitter, he said: "No its a scam run by criminals. Don't go near it!"

Martin Lewis concerned about AI and scams

Another user commenting on Lewis' posts about the scam said: "I bet you're worried that the future AI deep fake ads of you endorsing them."

To which the Money Saving Expert founder simply said: "i am."
