A tractor being used for construction work was stopped on a major road in Norfolk and was found to have brakes in disrepair.
Police made the discovery on Tuesday, May 16, when patrolling the A11 near Besthorpe.
A police spokesman said: "The tractor was towing a trailer that was overladen with building steel and the load was not secured properly.
"The trailer was also being driven too fast and the brake system was completely disconnected and not useable."
In a tweet, Norfolk and Suffolk Roads and Armed Policing Team said the condition of the brakes was "unacceptable" and should be picked up through "walk around" checks.
